クリーブランド美術館 The Cleveland Museum of Art(CMA)

アメリカ５大湖の１つ、エリー湖のほとり、イリノイ州のクリーブランドにある。

日本人にとっては「観光のついでに美術鑑賞」できる場所ではないのですが、収蔵品の質・量ともアメリカ三大美術館に引けをとらない。「クリーブランド美術館」の名前を冠した日本美術の里帰りコレクションもたびたび開催されている。つまりアジア美術・日本美術に強い。他ジャンルの素晴らしさも、推して知るべし。
